What is Internal Family Systems-IFS?
IFS is a compassionate therapy that helps you understand and connect with the different 'parts' inside you—like an inner family or team.
Each part has its own feelings, beliefs, and roles: some try to protect you, others carry pain or past trauma, and sometimes these parts can be at odds with one another—pulling you in different directions. This inner conflict is called polarization.
Instead of trying to silence or fix these parts, IFS encourages you to listen with curiosity and kindness, building a relationship with all aspects of yourself.
At the center of this system is your Self—a calm, wise, and compassionate core that some experience as a spiritual presence or inner guide. This Self leads your internal family toward healing and harmony.
IFS is especially helpful for healing from eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional challenges, offering a gentle path to reconnect with your true self and find lasting balance.
